So close yet worlds away. No shopping malls, no movie theaters..also, almost no traffic..the major mode of transportation on the Island is by golf cart.
WHAT DO YOU DO? EXPLORE. That's why you have a golf cart and an Island map detailing Historic Sites, roadways..some paved some dirt..nature trails and beach access points. The Island has a long history of human presence and several historic sites have been preserved. It is a very family friendly island and the residents enjoy showing it off. If your children have never caught a blue crab on a hand line baited with a chicken neck, they will have the chance here, right from the public dock. They can collect shells too. Don't have kids and just want to get away for the day? This is the place to do it.
There are places to have lunch at the Daufuskie Island Inn and Resort or you can bring your own. Coolers are welcome.
Our goal is to ensure that you have a fun experiance. We'll begin the Island part of the tour by showing you the roadways and major reference points. We'll suggest a tour route customized for the day according to tide rise and fall (important for your beach portion of the day) and we remain on the Island until its time to go home.

What to wear and bring: Beach style or very casual dress is appropriate, at times a light pullover may be needed as Ocean breezes can be cool; suntan lotion, sunglasses and camera, cooler if needed.

Tour runs Monday through Friday excluding Holidays. Saturdays can be reserved for group charters.
